09.30.09 Sackman to Speak For InnerCity Entrepreneurs
Chicago, IL — September 30, 2009 — VentureLab partner Don Sackman is scheduled to serve as panelist for an upcoming StreetWise MBA session hosted by the InnerCity Entrepreneurs (I.C.E.). The StreetWise MBA is a nine-month certificate program for entrepreneurs to learn about a wide variety of business and management topics including financial modeling, marketing, human resources, scaling, and growth. I.C.E. is currently partnering with the Small Business Administration (SBA) through its Emerging 200 (E200) Initiative to bring the StreetWise MBA curriculum to 15 cities across the country, including Chicago.
The September 30th session on "Accessing New Capital: Public and Private Financing" will feature Sackman as one of four speakers to give insight on the current funding environment, items to consider when trying to secure financing, and what investors look for in a business model. In addition, Sackman will provide feedback to entrepreneurs who are practicing the pitch for their businesses.
